By installing, accessing, or using the JottNote browser extension ("JottNote," "the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use JottNote.
JottNote is a browser extension that provides note-taking, bookmark management, session saving, math calculations, timers, and related productivity features. All user data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API.
Pro license terms, pricing, and refund policies are governed by ExtensionPay. Please refer to ExtensionPay's Terms for payment-related details.
You retain full ownership of all content you create within JottNote, including notes, bookmarks, templates, and sessions. JottNote does not claim any rights to your content. Your content is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
You agree to use JottNote in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not:
JottNote, including its code, design, graphics, and documentation, is the intellectual property of JottNote and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The Extension is licensed to you, not sold.
JottNote integrates with third-party services for certain features:
These services are governed by their own terms and policies. JottNote is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.
JottNote is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JottNote and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Extension.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of JottNote shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Pro license in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is less.
While JottNote includes an automatic backup feature, you are ultimately responsible for maintaining backups of your data. We recommend using the Export feature regularly to save your notes, bookmarks, and sessions to external storage.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue JottNote (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Extension.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Your continued use of JottNote after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
You may stop using JottNote at any time by uninstalling the Extension. We reserve the right to suspend or revoke Pro access in cases of fraud or violation of these Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which JottNote operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
